Then he meets the merman’s eyes and thinks, oh.
The merman is so pretty. Yuuji would follow him to the end of the sea and over the edge. His deep, dark eyes squint in suspicion, examining Yuuji back and turning up his high nose at what he finds. Yuuji wants the man to look at him forever.
“I–you–merman,” Yuuji says eloquently.

Summary
“What are you doing in here?” he asks the cat, who’s glaring at him, disgruntled at the rough awakening. The cat butts his chin until he lies back down. Then, he stands up, stomping ticklishly all over Yuuji’s chest, before curling back up and closing his eyes. His fur sticks straight up like the sea urchins in the fish market. He’s adorable.
Careful not to incur his wrath again, Yuuji lifts a hand and strokes down the cat’s back, petting him gently. The cat purrs and tries to burrow deeper into Yuuji’s sleep-warm skin, unbothered by the morning light.
