“Oh, yeah? Why not?” Ven settles into the passenger seat sideways, leaning back against the rumbling door with the open window and hot, country air. He can’t even hear the police sirens anymore.
Vanitas has the steering wheel in one hand. He’s grinning in a way that only he can. “That’s because you’re the best thing I ever stole.”
Ven’s smile peels back against his will. “Gross.”

Summary
In the deepest part of Ventus's heart, Vanitas finds a town. Purple roofs sit over cozy-looking cottages. A fountain bubbles in the center of a small town square. The ghosts of a life long gone flash past him.
He looks up to the sky. A massive clock tower stands in the distance. The sight of it strikes something deep within him. A name rings through him, clear as a bell’s toll.
Daybreak Town.
Just why does he know this name?

Long after the events of Xehanort's Keyblade War, Vanitas wakes up in Ventus's heart. The more time he spends there, the more mysteries he discovers — and the less he's convinced that he's the only being there.

Vanitas’s hands can also sift flour when he bakes with Aqua, or pipe icing while decorating cakes. They can hold Ventus’s hand, or caress his cheek when they kiss, because Vanitas is also very, very loved.
