“Most people think blindness means living in darkness.” He began, turning a corner to wander deeper into the garden. “But darkness isn’t empty. Not if you know where to find the light.”
Jisung glanced toward him. “You can see light?”
Minho shook his head slightly. “Not the way you do.”
“Does the darkness frighten you?”
“At times. But I learned a long time ago, if you spend all your time looking at the darkness,” he said quietly, “you miss the bright things hiding inside it.”
Jisung’s heartbeat shifted slightly. Not faster, just louder. Harder for Minho to ignore, not that he had intention on doing so.
“What do they look like?”
The king smiled, thinking it over for a moment. “They sound like laughter. Smell like fresh-baked bread.” A quiet giggle made his chest tighten more than he expected. It was quickly becoming his favorite sound. “And sometimes, they feel like standing beside someone who makes the darkness a little easier to walk through.”

Minho looks at the blade, then at the man holding it. The pretty face, the steady hand, the intelligence in his eyes that had been there all along.
The captain's voice comes back to him. The act is the only thing keeping us breathing.
Well, Minho thinks grimly, so much for the fucking act.
“Your guard, Your Highness,” he answers, and lets a ghost of a smile touch his mouth. “Or whatever else you’d like me to be.”
Prince Han Jisung is kidnapped by Captain Bang's crew on his way to an arranged marriage built on lies. What should have been a simple scheme turns into a voyage through raging storms, treacherous waters, haunting folklore, buried secrets, and one mutual, incredibly inconvenient attraction.

The Royal Family is honored to announce Tradition & Tomorrow: A Royal Love Story, a historic courtship initiative led by His Royal Highness Prince Jisung.
Twenty selected citizens will be invited to reside at the Royal Palace for eight weeks, taking part in a series of events designed to celebrate the enduring traditions of the Crown while embracing the possibilities of modern love.
Throughout the experience, His Royal Highness will seek the person with whom he wishes to share his future. At the conclusion of the journey, one participant will be offered Prince Jisung's hand in marriage and, should both choose one another, become the next member of the Royal Family.
The journey will be shared through weekly broadcasts, culminating in live evening programs where His Royal Highness's reflections, together with the voice of the kingdom, will help shape the course of the experience.

“Shit, shit— fuck, holy shit that hurts.” Jisung hissed, trying not to jostle the arrow literally lodged in his thigh muscle.
“Shit.”
Jisung’s eyes shot up at the sound, landing on a young man with dark, messy hair and equally dark eyes that were wide in shock.
“You’re not a Hollow.”
“Yeah, no shit.” Jisung snapped, his attention torn between the pain in his leg and the man who caused it. “Now are you gonna help me fix what you caused, or just stand there like an idiot?”
“Y-you’re not a Hollow.” The man simply repeated, his eyes fixed on his own arrow that sunk deep into Jisung’s flesh.
Jisung rolled his eyes. “I’m gonna end up Hollow food if you don’t get over here and help me.”
or: Minho hasn’t seen a living human in over a year. What does he do when he finally does? He shoots them. Newsflash, they’re not very happy about it.
