By the fifty-minute mark, Josie felt more awake than she ever had. Any lingering tiredness from sitting on a tarmac for sixteen hours vanished and Josie felt like she was in the middle of the largest adrenaline high.
“Thunder, copy.” The sudden voice startled Josie, the drug causing her reaction to double in strength. The helicopter suddenly jerked to the right, throwing the QRF around in the back.
“Jesus Christ, Thunder, what the hell was that.” Bobby said.
“Whatever the fuck that drug you made me take,” Josie said.
