Events take place as a continuation to the ending of Drive (2011) where Driver uses Lars's guest house as a safe haven for recovery. Will he skip town the second his wounds are healed, or will something compel him to stay?
"It was too good to be true for a good looking, kind man near his age to seemingly fall out of the sky and into his home anyways. He was quiet, yet thoughtful. Strong, but yielding. He didn’t just listen to Lars, waiting for him to stop speaking out of politeness, he really seemed to hang onto his every word. He gave him his full attention. Lars wasn’t used to that. It made him feel, for the first time in a long time, that he was taking too much from someone else. Lars was usually always the giver. He liked being the giver; it was comfortable. He felt like less of a bother that way. He didn’t really know how to just…receive."

Summary
Driver closes his eyes, reaching for everything he’s observed and stored away about human connection — about Lars. How much of the truth is he allowed to give?
Strangely, he doesn’t feel afraid to lay out all his cards, face-up, for this. Because if Lars could find something that looked like love in a plastic doll, then surely Driver wouldn’t be much of a downgrade.

"M'fine." He pushed out, he's not far from the hospital that Lars goes to. Where Dr. Dagmar is. The only hospital that Lars trusted. Should he go to that hospital? Do dogs that take care of themselves still get loved and cared for? "W's stabbed."
"Excuse me?!" Ooft, he sounded mad. Should Casey not have told him? But then he'd just track blood all over the sheets and furniture like a mucky, dirty stray. And nobody liked a mucky dog. "Did you just say you were stabbed?!"
"Uh-huh," Driver nodded his head, feeling a little woozy even though he knew he hadn't lost nearly enough blood for that. He'd never had anyone care for him like Lars did. Or get angry for him. "M'sorry, Lars." The blood is warm on his palm and he can feel the tackiness of drying blood trying to stick Lars' undershirt and sweater to his skin. He hiccuped, falling into a lull of haze at the sound of Lars' voice and concern. He felt warm all over, the safety of his car, the lingering Lars scent that's been rubbed all over his clothes before he left and the aching of his mark scars all serving to pull him deeper into his haze. "M'really, really sorry."

Casey’s face pales, although his expression doesn’t change much. He says nothing, either.
“You’re not in trouble!” She reassures, recognizing the can’t-let-anyone-know-how-I-feel look, “I wanted to um, come and tell you that it’s fine and I’m fine with it and um, if there’s anyone I’d want to share Lars with, it would be you, and if you ever wanted to have a date as the three of us I would be totally fine if the two of you kissed in front of me and-”
She clenches her jaw so tightly she hears her teeth snap together as she tries to shut herself up and not reveal to Casey that she’s really, really enjoyed imagining her soft and sweet Lars kissing smooth and handsome Casey and getting really, really rumpled about it-
Casey’s eyebrows lift the barest inch. Margo blushes.-
Margo goes to talk to Casey after he kisses Lars. Margo admits that she has no problem with that, to her great embarassment.
