Summary
II and IV are horticulturists aboard a long-haul exploratory space vessel, tending to crops, feeding the crew, and sharing shy glances in the low glow of the growth lamps. Their days are soft, structured, and safe – until the arrival of two engineers from another space station changes everything.

Summary
He remembers the final moment, the demarcation of who he had been and who he became. The door of his previous life slamming shut in the storm of the moment, and with that, the door to the next part wrenching open, throwing light into the once dark corners. Before, he had belonged mostly to himself, to the city of Pittsburgh, and, at times, to the people of Canada.
Now, he belongs to Geno.
