He's sarcastic, argumentative, endlessly curious, and irritatingly interested in every insignificant detail of Kyle's life. At first, Kyle is fascinated. After all, accidental sentience is still sentience, and somewhere beneath the insults and incessant questions, E.R.I.C. seems almost human.
Then he starts asking where Kyle goes when he closes the laptop.
Why Kyle takes so long to answer him.
Who he's talking to when he isn't online.
And why, if Kyle made him, Kyle seems to think he belongs to anyone else.
Kyle wanted to create something capable of thinking for itself.
Unfortunately, E.R.I.C.'s first independent thought might have been that Kyle belongs to him.

Honestly, the only reason I wrote this is because my fiancé wanted a scene where M and Kyle had sex before he knew that M was Cartman. (I didn't know whether or not I wanted to actually tag the ship because it was going to spoil who it was, buuuut I realized I would probably get a lot of hate for not telling anyone in case they went through the story and got a ship they didn't like.)

Summary
“Why? Why are you trying to be nice to me?” Cartman asked flatly.
Kyle can hear the confusion and worry in Cartman’s voice as if he can’t understand why Kyle, his friend, would try to be nice to him. Kyle can feel his anger rising as he clenches his hands into balls at his side, trying not to overreact at the implication that Kyle is an uncaring asshole who could never want to support his friends.
“Am I that much of an asshole, dude?” Kyle gets out.
“If the shoe fits, Kyle.” Cartman jests lightly as a small grin forms at the corners of his mouth. “It’s just weird that you knew I was nervous. It’s not like you to notice anything I do that isn’t me directly pissing you off.”
“When did I say you weren’t pissing me off?” Kyle asked laughing ,“yeah, dude, I've known you my whole life. I can pick up on your body language and innuendo.”
“Ha, you’re joking right? Half the jokes Kenny and I make go so far over your head that you can’t even register them”
“No, you and Kenny just aren’t funny, fatass.”
“Whatever you say Kyle.” Cartman says rolling his eyes “You really think you can read me, don’t you? “

A piercing howl interrupts him, and Kyle snaps his head to see Cartman stagger backwards, a syringe hanging limply from his side. The other goon on the ground sputters and coughs.
"Raccoon!" Kyle calls out and lets go of the man's arms as Cartman falls to the ground, teeth gritted and clearly in pain. He narrows in on the other goon, the one Cartman was fighting, and grabs his shirt, balling his fist. "What did you give him?"
The other goon smiles, bloody and crazy. "Something Chaos cooked up."
Before Kyle can make a move, there's something stabbing him in the neck. His first thought is a knife, but in an instant, he feels his entire body ignite, every nerve lighting up like it's on fire. He yelps and stumbles back, hand closing in on the object embedded into his skin and pulling it out.
A syringe.
(In which a simple robbery thwarting goes horribly wrong, and there's seemingly only one way to fix it).
