Heat rushes to Mai’s face. It’s so stupid, but she suddenly can’t stop thinking about the last time she saw Takada—at the meet and greet, when she took Mai’s hand in hers and offered her a soft smile that she didn’t grant to any of the other fans in line before Mai. The way her face lit up when she saw Mai, like she was the eye of the hurricane, like she was the brief moment of sunshine in the midst of a storm.
Of course Mai remembers her—she would even without all of Todo’s obsessing. Something like that is hard to forget.

Mai tried to muster a response, but her breath had caught in her throat when Takada said ‘love’.
“There’s a fair share of things to learn about me,” Mai managed to say. A speckled moth fluttered into the lightbulb, barrelling down after it struck the glass. “There’s no time to sit through all of that.”
The moth rose back towards the bulb, unfazed by its failure, before crashing into the barrier between it and the light.
“Don’t worry.” Spotted wings flittered yet again. “We have all the time in the world.”
Mai clutched her aching ribs, slicked her hand against the slash. Coughed blood out of her lungs, then immediately regretted it because inhaling air felt like inhaling fire.

"Come on, now," Gojo sighed. "You know the Six Eyes allow me to see the flow of cursed energy, and the residuals left behind by cursed techniques. Which means, I can see the residuals from this... interesting cursed technique you were infected by. Now, care to explain what happened?"
There was a pause, and Yuuji's heart was hammering in his chest.
"No."
"Well, then. If you're not going to explain, maybe Yuuji will."
"Y- I mean, Itadori isn't even-"
The closet door swung open, and the light from the room spilled in. Yuuji's eyes burned, and he squinted against the sudden brightness. Gojo's figure loomed over him, and his smug grin was all too familiar.
"Hey, Yuuji-kun! How's the closet treating you?"
Yuuji stared up at him, his mouth open and his eyes wide. Gojo's amusement was apparent, and he seemed way too pleased with himself.
"I was, uh, hanging out?" Yuuji replied, his voice strained.
"Oh, is that so?" Gojo grinned.
"You- you know, just, uh. Chilling. With the clothes. And the... hangers. And stuff."
"I see."
Megumi, who was standing behind Gojo, had his face buried in his hands, and Yuuji was pretty sure he was on the verge of a breakdown.
"I mean, it's nice in here. Smells good. I could get used to it, honestly. The smell, I mean. Not the closet. Though, I suppose a closet could be nice. Depends on the size. Not that a small closet is bad, but-"
"Itadori," Megumi cut him off, his face still hidden.
"Yes?"
"Shut the fuck up."
"O-oh. Okay. Yeah, that's fair. I can do that. No problem. I'm good at shutting up. I can be quiet. Not a sound."
Gojo burst out laughing, clutching his sides. Yuuji didn't understand what was so funny, but the man was doubled over, tears streaming down his face.
"Y-you two," he choked out, "are so-"
"Don't say a word," Megumi hissed.
Gojo continued to cackle, clearly finding the whole situation hilarious. Yuuji didn't see the point, but he supposed some people had different sense of humor.

And for some reason, Fushiguro keeps getting turned into a vampire.
Easy-peasy, right?After a mission with Megumi goes wrong, Yuuji keeps repeating the same night over and over in the midst of a vampire outbreak in Kyoto.

The guy holds a finger up at Yuuta and it’s gently menacing, the way he waves it in Yuuta’s face, the way his eyes say stay still without him having to say anything at all. When he seems certain Yuuta isn’t going to move, he redirects his attention to his phone and types furiously. Yuuta vaguely notices his thin gold rings, the fact that a few of the guy’s nails are painted black, scraped up like he uses his hands a lot and hadn’t bothered to repaint them.
Then the guy shoves his phone in Yuuta’s face.
Yuuta goes a little cross-eyed trying to see it. He puts his hand on the guy’s wrist to steady the phone and pull it away from his face so he can actually see whatever he is being shown. Yuuta realizes, once his fingers connect around the guy's slim wrist, overlapping a little, that touching him like this is pretty forward of Yuuta– but also this dude is shoving a phone in his face, so maybe it’s fine.
The phone is open to the notes app and says:
i’m mute. i literally can’t talk pretty much at all. stop running away from me, asshole. why are you so freaky fast?
“Uh.” Yuuta says.

“Oh god, don’t tell me I’ve forgotten my own girlfriend or something.” Yuji grabs his own head in distress. “Please, please tell me she’s tall with a big butt.”
“More like boyfriend.” Kugisaki scoffs before she can think better.
Gojo scratches his chin. “At least he’s got one of those traits.”
“Boyfriend?” Yuji drops his hands off his head and blinks helplessly at them all. “I have a boyfriend?”
The answer is no. It would be a very easy thing to clear up. Kugisaki knows that’s what any decent person would do. But then she looks at Gojo. One corner of his mouth keeps twitching, ghosting the most conspiratorially wicked smile she’s ever seen. She presses her lips together, hiding her own evil grin. There was something in Yuji’s voice that caught her off guard. Something… hopeful.
Yuji hits his head and while most of his memory remains intact, he's forgotten someone very important. A certain Fushiguro Megumi who he was definitely not dating before the concussion. Though, that small detail would never stop Kugisaki from spreading a little bit of false information in the pursuit of an incredible prank. Or it would have been an incredible prank if only things didn't get so... out of hand.
