Summary
“Yor,” he said slowly, trying to quell the mounting sense of panic that was swirling in his gut. “Did Anya not tell you what type of auction this is?”
Yor peered at him curiously. “Type of auction? What do you mean?”
Off to the side, a group of well-dressed individuals were beginning to line up. A few of them squealed excitedly to each other, trying to peek at the audience from behind the curtains. Loid was queasy as he turned back to Yor.
“The final part of tonight’s charity event is going to be a date auction. That’s what you signed up for.”
Her gaze was wide and innocent as that of a deer. “What’s a date auction?”
After a comically unfortunate misunderstanding lands Yor in an precarious position, Loid must swoop in to save the day.
What follows is a series of infuriating, ulcer-inducing events that leads him to question everything he knows—including his own heart.
