The spell had worked for a while...Peter had managed to rebuild his life and even get his friends back...but then the rifts came back and he knew that he needed to go. To leave his universe for good. Dr Strange had left him with a contingency plan in case of something like this.
When Peter finds himself in an unknown city covered in injuries from his previous fight and the result of the dimensional travel, he not only realises that this city is way more messed up than New York, but he has also shrunk... a lot, way too much for his liking.
So hey! He has no other option than to rely on his vigilante persona and rage bait every single bat/bird themed vigilante inside the city.Or
A Spider-Man in Gotham fic but now I get to write my own because I'm addicted to these, and I just saw the last movie and had to include the new angst in the fic because I cried a lot while watching it.

In the haze after Jason’s death, how could he have known, one of the girls lost in the sea of break up texts he’d come back from space to find would’ve been pregnant. How could he have known if she’d never come to him? He wouldn’t, until he tried to recruit the new Spider themed hero of New York for the Titans and discovered he was far younger than anyone thought. How could anyone mistake that little kid for a hero or vigilante. Shit, was that what he looked like sneaking out to find Tony Zucco? Now he knew what B felt like trying to make him quit being Robin, before mentoring him.
Yes this is Peter born in the DCU I will be pulling from several Comics and shows for inspiration. I’ve really enjoyed a lot of the Peter in Gotham fics but I’ve never actually seen anyone make one where he was ACTUALLY FROM THE DCU. Also, I’m sorry the first half of the first chapter is so Dark, but look, it’s Peter. I promise it’ll get better. We will get sassy, quipping and Flipping father son moments later, for now Peter gotta have dead parental figures and get his powers.
