Peter gives her a look out of the corner of his eye, soft and searching. His mouth quirks up into a half-smile.
Which is rude. She's still trying not to think about him. She's been trying not to think about the way he had cradled her face earlier when he saved her from the wreckage in Manhattan; like she was something precious.

Summary
When Jim gets Spock to sign on as his first officer, the last thing he expects is to be handed a classified medical dispensation form. Because Spock’s going to be sick, and he knows it, and the only solution will be to haul ass back to New Vulcan. Desperate for details, Jim concocts a plan. But the more time he spends befriending Spock, the less he can deny his love for his Vulcan first officer. Because Jim might not know what exactly is going to happen to Spock, but he does know one thing: he’ll do absolutely anything to keep him by his side.

“I can’t go to train at the palace,” Felix says, sharp. He’s annoyed that he even has to say this, to Glenn of all people, when Glenn understands the many reasons Felix can’t go off to knight’s training, when he is in fact the only one Felix shouldn’t have to have this conversation with.
Glenn holds up his hands peaceably, like he’d expected this. “You’re right, Felix Fraldarius can’t,” he says. “So he won’t. Glenn Fraldarius will.”
“If speaking about yourself in the third person is going to become a habit, I’m going to have to run away to Sreng,” Felix threatens. “It’s too annoying to be borne.”
