When the New Avengers come calling with a shiny offer and a clear ultimatum—ditch the Punisher or lose the team—Peter has to decide what he’s really fighting for. And Frank has to realize that pushing Peter away for his own good might just be the biggest lie of his life.

Summary
“I would like to go home, please,” Buck says to the ambulance ceiling. “Too many people have seen me in my underwear. Eddie?”
Eddie stands. “Yeah, bud. I’ll drive.”
“Oh, no,” Maddie says, and snatches Buck’s pants from him. “You’re staying with us tonight. Evan, you got stabbed in the leg.”
“Okay, I did not get stabbed, Mads. I got, uh—”
“Slashed,” Eddie offers, and Buck points.
“Yeah, slashed! And it wasn’t even deep. Right, Hen?”
Hen looks between the two of them, blinking open-mouthed like she’s watching a mating ritual on the Discovery Channel. “My God, they’re soulmates.”

Summary
Buck pushes his way through the crowd and lifts the crying baby into his arms, coat and all. A folded piece of paper falls out and Chimney bends to pick it up. It’s her birth certificate from Cedars-Sinai, and every line is blank except for where the father’s name goes.
In a shaky scrawl that could be no one’s but that poor teenage girl’s, Iliana has written Firefighter Buckley.
They all look at him. Buck looks down at the baby, angry and red and so tiny in his turnout coat.
"Oh."
or, Buck wants a baby. Naturally, the universe gives him one.

Summary
“Are you in labor?” Hen says, pushing her hood down.
Eddie nods mutely. “Cedars kicked us out so we’re going back home."
“Let me guess, they told you to come back in two hours,” Chimney says with a knowing gleam in his eyes.
That’s when the EMERGENCY BIRTH KIT is spotted in Eddie’s hands. Ravi says uncertainly, “But you don’t think you’ll make it.”
Buck swallows. They’re very good at compromising, him and Eddie, but when it comes to pregnancy, the birthing parent is the one that calls the shots. Even if those shots make Buck feel sick to think about.
“The storm is moving faster than the baby,” he says with a helpless shrug, and Eddie hands him the kit with a grateful smile. Buck swallows again.
or, The birth of Buck and Eddie's third kid doesn't go exactly as planned, but it's still better than either of them could imagine.
