Braun getting along with another ghost story without the pressure of the camera/audience to act the part of the Host... it's certainly something else. i have no doubt that there are parts of him that are simply there regardless of the camera's presence, of course. Braun is just less dramatic here and it makes one think that this is his authentic self, making readers want to analyse him thoroughly to understand Braun the ghost story better, rather than Braun the Host/Good Friend that we see more often in canon.
10/10, i crave this Braun so much, inject more into my veins

...Braun removed one of his gloves, revealing a human-like hand with prominent veins. Then, he used his other hand to snap it off. A sharp cracking sound echoed. From the severed hand, a strange black fluid flowed out, and the colorful wires inside it sparked a few times before going silent.

“You heard what I said, shitty Dazai. He doesn’t want you. Not a single one of them does, but I do. So you’re going to fucking stay here, because you don’t get to leave me again.”
“I’m not participating in this weird ass fantasy where we spend the rest of our lives together. I’m not him and you know it,” Dazai bites out, renewing his efforts to get out of his bindings.
Nakahara’s hand shoots out to pin him against the couch and stop his movements. “I know. Of course, I know that. But he owed me, and now he's fucking dead so you’re the one that’s going to pay on that debt. So, I am going to fucking keep you and when the times comes, I’m going to be the one kill you. You don’t have anything waiting for you out there, and you know it.”
Finally, Dazai stills. He tries to formulate a response, but he's not stupid, and there's no denying the truth. Slowly, he nods, and from above him, Nakahara grins.

toxic skk situationship breakup + ada distancing themselves + beast chuuya being pulled in from his world = dazai, desperate for some sort of affection, and finding it in the absolute worst way possible
