Summary
A long vine seemed to drop from the sky. It was so high, six times higher than their own treehouse. Perhaps higher than the original camp. Kenji didn't want to know how Ben got up there in the first place. He couldn't even see the house for crying out loud! He got vertigo, and he was still on the ground.
Ben brought him back with a light tug on the arm. Blue eyes took a few seconds to tear from the rock to look at Kenji. He whispered very quietly, "She's asleep, c'mon."
She? Kenji looked back at the rock, and then it huffed.
That was no rock, he realised.
A spinosaurus rested on the riverbank, curled into herself like a cat. She would look quite peaceful if it weren't for the rows of teeth in her mouth. He turned to Ben, who had just led him into the home of the biggest carnivore to ever walk.
"It's fine, we're friends", the boy dismissed as Kenji focused on the sharp scar that crossed the left side of the spinosaurus's face and Ben's bandaged knee. He glared at the brunette. "You are most definitely not friends-"
OR I alter canon and give Benji (+Yaz) a different reunion.

Summary
He was standing opposite the sun, a halo of light contrasting his features. He might as well have been a trick of the light. The shadows putting on a sick show of the boy's figure. Her eyes bore into him, scared that if she did so as to blink, the sun would move and so his reflection.
Yaz wanted his help. She needed his help. Needed him to carry out his promise. To take away the pain.
He didn't meet her eyes, his gaze trained on the ankle. His voice was sharp when he talked; it came with his new persona: "I'm gonna go get water real quick; wait here."
OR Yaz is emotionally constipated and has a quick temper. Also, her ankle is messed up... if only her best friend knew first aid. Oh wait!
