Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng take a trip to the Cloud Recesses that the locals dissuade travelers from visiting and that the internet says is haunted. She awakens something that has been waiting for a long time. Something dark, and hungry.
"What are you doing out here, little bun?” she asked as she crouched down to pspsps. “Are rabbits nocturnal? Come to momma, little bun, and I promise to cook you into a nice juicy…”
Wei Ying trailed off as another rabbit hopped towards the first. She straightened and noticed more rabbits. Tens, maybe a hundred little white fluff balls in the grass and under the bushes. All of them looking towards hers. She blinked a few times in disbelief.
