Summary
Everything Serena would do or say, it was always for her. Never herself. Everything was for Yan, but she never felt comfortable with the spoiling she’d get on an assumingly daily basis at this rate.
Not that she didn’t appreciate it—no, her girlfriend could kick her out on the side of the road, and Yan would still hold sentimentality for every waking moment they’ve spent together, and every saccharine word that would fall from Serena’s lips when they were both hidden under slivers of moonlight from the curtains.
It was more so rooted from what she knew in her heart, that relationships are mutual. Platonic, familial, romantic — what’s the point of it all if one party leeches off the other? Yes, she knew this all too well.
So, the only logical solution to mend their not-even-falling-apart-yet relationship was to pry into Serena’s own hobbies.
Case in point: hunting.

Summary
Another typical day of an endless cycle of death. An endless cycle of running, panting, and blood seeping underneath the fabric of your clothes until it feels almost uncomfortable moving with liquid ichor sticking to your skin.
What she doesn't realize is that today is, in fact—not the typical day she thought it might be.
Or, well, she'd say there wasn't too much special about this day anyway, but she fears her girlfriend may just slam a frying pan over her head if she voiced that out loud.
alternatively: It's Serena's birthday today. Shame, the Mist didn't remember before throwing her into another exhausting trial. Yan did, however.

Summary
And although the gathering wasn’t one of a masquerade party, it would make no difference had she crafted and donned her own mask, sequined in pretty pink jewels sparkling enough to blind a man’s eyes.
alternatively: Serena isn’t so sure about herself anymore. Dakota, on the other hand, is the most assured woman she’s ever met in her measly eighteen years of living.

Summary
Time and time again, the Stareater would find himself lost. In a world like this, an endless black void, it was very easy to find yourself at multiple dead ends. To reach points where barely anything existed, and all you'd have to do is walk, and walk, and walk, in the false hope that finally – you'd find at least something.
Wandering throughout these inky pits of darkness was pointless to him. And yet, he had to. Because if he had to spend another second without Dante beside him, he himself would start to become pointless.
So Andrew always searched for him. And Dante would always let himself be found, with his bright, shining lantern letting the Stareater know that no matter how dark their world would become – he was there. He was always there. Just like the flames of his lantern, he was unwavering. He would never disappear.
Not until every star in the night sky withered away into nothingness.

Suho’s grin turns mischievous, almost fox-like. “Did you just purr?”
“D-don’t touch me.” Sieun stammers out. He has no clue what’s going on but Suho touching him makes it ten times worse.

Summary
“You should sit on my face.”
Okay, so Suho knows it’s not the best line to open up the discussion with, but at this point it’s all he’s got. Because Sieun, gorgeous, perfect, doe-eyed, is sitting on Suho’s bed reading a book, and hasn’t looked at him once in the past hour.
Which, fine. Suho can handle that; he’s used to it. Studies comes first and all that. But it’s the fact that Sieun has been acting like Suho is some ancient relic on loan from a museum, ever since he had woken up.
Or: Suho woke up hungry, and there's only one thing he wants.
