A strong contender on the list of things Jayce is concerned about: he’s wearing a dress. It’s a silky little thing, with a cinched bodice and a voluminous ivory skirt that hits right above his knees.
Some time earlier—Jayce can’t really tell, without windows—he walked up here willingly, at his request to help move some boxes into storage. Viktor had chatted with him idly the whole time, given him refreshments, offered to let him lay down on the wrought iron bed while he took a break.
At the very edge of his vision, there’s something white and scalloped—lace, similar to the doilies his mamá has in her living room. A matching veil, he realizes. He's wearing a wedding dress.

It’s fine, Viktor reminds himself as Jayce walks out the door, fresh-picked flowers in hand as he heads to his date. Each is arranged for him far in advance, making Jayce sullen the entire day of, pouting while doing chores.
This is good for him, Viktor repeats mentally when he sees the glint of an engagement ring on Jayce’s hand. It’s tasteful, and Viktor politely compliments the ring. Jayce doesn’t respond.
This is how it is supposed to be, Viktor internally yells as he sees the wedding date circled on the monthly calendar.

None of them are initially happy about wasting their time here, especially Viktor, but they soon begin to enjoy their break… which doesn’t stay relaxing for long! Spending time together in a different, more carefree context makes our boys’ hearts beat faster and ache with their blossoming feelings for each other, whatever they may be – and seeing each other in swimsuits and bathrobes all day long certainly doesn’t help.

Viktor receives an experimental pain medication from his doctor, which would be wonderful, if not for one problem—someone else must administer it. Though reluctant, Viktor asks Jayce to help him. Then, there’s a second problem—the medication’s greatest side effect is making Viktor incredibly aroused. Jayce can help with that, too.

Jayce depressed the plunger, watching as the serum disappeared inside Viktor, who let out a small, breathy whimper.
