Hal let out a sharp grin. He pressed his thumb against John’s lower lip until John’s mouth parted, then slid the finger inside. John opened for him without hesitation. Hal pushed in deep, dragged the pad of his finger across John’s tongue, then pulled it free, glistening.

John forces open his eyes, ignoring the pain splitting through his skull and down into his chest; he can already tell he has a concussion but he only thinks his clavicle might be broken. He squints at the dark, swimming shape of Jordan, and smacks his lips while trying to form a demand for an explanation.
“Yeah, alright,” Jordan mutters, sounding unusually regretful, then clearing his throat with a low cough. “I know. Whatever.”
