Eddie Munson died on March 27th, 1986.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
No, wait. That’s not right. That’s Hitchhiker's Guide. Or was it Restaurant at the End of the Universe? Whatever, not important.
Eddie Munson died on March 27th, 1986.
Except…he didn’t. He couldn’t have. Because Eddie Munson is currently arguing with himself in his fucking head about sci-fi quotes, which doesn’t feel especially like something that a dead person would have the capacity to do.
The bats had killed him. There had been pain, and the sick sensation of tearing flesh. He’d had to swallow past a mouthful of his own blood to tell Henderson he loved him. Surely those were symptoms of imminent death.
And yet.
On April 1st, 1986, Eddie Munson opens his eyes in a dim hospital room. There’s a gasp from his left, and he tries to turn his head towards the source.
“Easy there, kid. They’ve got you trussed up pretty good.”
Eddie doesn’t need to see him. He’d know that voice anywhere, in any universe, hell dimension or otherwise.
“Uncle Wayne?”
A story about the families we find and the love that finds us.

Summary
There was one stand out of the bunch when it came to Hawkins High Royalty.
Steve Harrington.
Eddie really didn't get it. Objectively the guy was hot, of course. He had all of the right proportions to make every eligible single with a pulse in the area take a second look, the eyes, the ass, the smile, the charm, the ass, and the hair. But there was something about the way he glided through the halls that put Eddie on high alert.

“Oh Steve. Stevie. Babe.” Eddie’s voice has taken on a manic quality that almost always means trouble.
“I am going to make so many things out of it.”

Summary
The Hawkins Public Pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, 8AM to 8PM, seven days a week. It employs three lifeguards, two of whom work each day: one from 8 to 2, and one from 2 to 8.
Objectively, Eddie knows that it’s weird for him to know this. Why should a guy who Does Not Swim concern himself with the work roster of a public pool he Does Not Swim at?
Or: Lifeguard Steve and Eddie meet up at the pool after hours.

It’s as a result of this particular ‘gift’ of Jim’s that Leonard was currently standing on the bridge, red-faced and shouting in front of the whole damn gamma-shift.

It’d be one thing, wouldn’t it, if Roy’d wanted to keep it casual. Just get each other off sometimes, not altogether unheard of in the showers.
The alternative is to actually see where this goes, and that’s too terrifying to look straight at. To be in a—relationship—with the person who knows Jamie brutally well, the person who shaped him before he even knew him, and also a man and his goddamn coach, and Keeley’s other ex and, and, and.
It’s fucking Roy.
If Jamie knew what was good for him, he’d get out of this before it properly starts. There’s too much at stake. Call it the heat of the moment, laugh it off. Because the thought of opening up all the way just to lose him doesn’t remotely sound like something Jamie’s willing to bear.
But then Roy looks at him.
And Jamie’s not sure he knows what’s good for him after all.

Jamie makes a face like what the fuck. "It's nice, though," he says. "Like a little 'good lad' without having to speak, y'know? I like it." He takes a swig of water and bounces on the balls of his feet, awaiting further instructions.
"Then I'll stop fucking doing it," Roy grumps, but they both know he doesn't mean it.

Because fucking Jamie Tartt is sitting in their treatment room.
Roy has every intention of just turning around and walking away, Until he sees a boot flying across the room, nearly clocking Jamie in the face. Until he sees someone cuffing Jamie upside the head, screaming at him with disappointment and anger.
