Ever.”Rex raises a brow at the obviously illegal bootleg holo she’s clutching against her chest like a child. “Do I need to ask where you got that?” The vode were given explicit terms with regard to who was prohibited from participating in the GAR-only smuggling network. It was a short list, dominated primarily by the individual in front of him, and also Obi-wan.
“Let’s focus on the important things, here.” Ahsoka says breezily, waving her hand as if to brush the question away. “Do you think we can put it up on the main viewscreen on Deck 6?”

“That’s not,” Steven says, “That’s not why I came over here. Ah,” he licks his lips, unsure how to continue. The kid raises an eyebrow, expression very clearly reading then why the hell are you over here, and Steven clears his throat a bit. “Just,” he says. “To talk.”
Or: Marc happens to pass by a random homeless kid on the streets of New York. This, it turns out, is a mistake, because Steven- Steven, for some Khonshu-damned reason, grows attached.
(And Marc doesn't. He really, really doesn't. He swears.)
