Summary
Yes, yet another fic from me. I have far too many in the works, and it has my head spinning.
This is a bit of a dark fic, but for good reason.
Portia has sold Penelope to the horrid Lord Greer, and for almost 6 years, she endured his cruelty, until his untimely death.
She has become a mother, and a fierce one at that.
Upon the Queen's request for mandatory attendance to her ball, Penelope has no choice but to return to the Ton.
She strikes up a friendship with Lady Danbury, and the two create Lady Whistledown. A force that brings the cruel men of the Ton to their demise.
This is a dark tale of pain and revenge, but also healing, love and how memories can truly save your life.
✨️This is a Penedict HEA. If you don't like the pairing, skit it. 😊
✨️As always, kudos & comments are greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading!

Summary
Summer of 1817. Penelope is no longer a fixture of London’s marriage mart, by choice, not exile. Society barely remembers her, and that suits her well. She lives in the countryside now, in a small, ivy-covered cottage not far from the Granvilles’ estate, with her faithful maid and friend Rae at her side.
She has long since put Lady Whistledown to rest. Instead, she writes novels that sell well.
She has been part of the Granvilles’ world for two years now, and their parties, their freedom, their belief that art is not scandalous but sacred, feel more like home than Mayfair ever did.
Among painters and poets, natural philosophers and scandalous playwrights, Penelope is no longer the forsaken wallflower. She is simply Pen: a woman with ink-stained fingers and sun-kissed shoulders, who lives freely and speaks her mind. She has lovers when she wishes and none when she does not. Her life is full.
So when Benedict arrives at the Granvilles’ summer gathering, charming, disillusioned, still a little too tethered to expectation, it is not to rescue her, or fix her. It is to find himself increasingly fascinated by someone who has already found herself.

Summary
“When your best friend secures you a job as her older brother’s personal assistant, you sign the contract without reading the fine print. Big mistake.”
Penelope Featherington’s life is stuck on a system crash. Her philology degree is useless, her childhood crush uses her as a free ghostwriter, and her boyfriend is more interested in eco-protests and tofu than in treating her like an actual girlfriend. She desperately needed a steady income and a hard reset.
Enter Eloise with a life-saving employment contract at Bridgerton Corp. Penelope was just hoping for a basic office routine and a paycheck, but she clearly missed the hidden clauses. Along with the assistant title, she accidentally scores a move into a luxury penthouse, a true gentleman who cooks her hot breakfasts instead of pushing sour kombucha, and a billionaire boss—Benedict Bridgerton—who completely short-circuits her brain.
It seems her new employment agreement comes with some highly unexpected perks. Now, she just has to figure out if she’s brave enough to make this contract permanent.

Summary
Growing up, Penelope Featherington loved Colin Bridgerton the way every shy girl from a dodgy home situation loves the shining, perfect boy next door. She loved his smile, and the way he always sought her out at family parties, and the shared jokes they had developed over the years. She loved him in a way that felt real, as though it might someday, somehow, amount to something.
Anthony was different.
She loved Anthony like she loved the sun: basking in his warmth whenever it happened to fall across her, but never once mistaking it for something meant specifically for her. She could appreciate the light he cast over her life from a safe distance, content to admire him while he moved through the world entirely unaware that he had become the center of one small, foolish universe.Bookmarked by quartz_geode
