Ochako Uraraka was like a candle.
Her parents and friends lit her up, and in return, her wide smile warmed people’s hearts, her bubbly personality brightened other’s days, and her encouraging words guided people through dark times.
Just like a candle.
But when a candle's wax begins to bleed away, the flame diminishes smaller and smaller until there's nothing left.
Or: a month after the war, Ochako finds herself mourning over the loss of vibrant, yellow eyes and a girl she's learned she has more than complicated feelings for.
Not sure if these feelings are romantic, platonic, or something else, Ochako's stuck in a constant time loop of the war. Gorgeous eyes of sunshine looking into hers as warm blood from the other pools into her colder than ever before body.
But when Ochako accidentally cuts herself from paper, she starts to lose the limited amount of blood from the girl she realized all too late she loved.

The first time Toga Hiroshi tasted blood, it had been an accident.
Hiroshi tip-toed over and, as gently as he could, scooped the pheasant from the dirt. As he did, blood oozed onto his fingerprints, the maroon liquid so alluring in its presence. Hiroshi could smell it even stronger now – the notes of vanilla and cherries were so distinct, he would have sworn he was smelling a dessert had his eyes been closed.
Quickly, as though it might vanish at any moment, his tongue prodded at his finger. Sanguine serenity serenaded his taste buds, the distinctly sweet taste twinged with pennies only making him desire more. He could feel the saliva build up in his mouth. But what a shame it would be, if only he could share in this delight.

Ochako swallowed hard. Her eyes wandered away from Tsuyu’s, before snapping back to them. She leaned in, desperation evident in her eyes. “Tsu, do you think… you could let her possess you? Or… or… at least pretend that she was possessing you?”
Tsuyu’s body froze, jolting in such a familiar way that her body barely even processed it. The request came from… nowhere. Or did it? Maybe Ochako had been slowly building to this.
OR
Tsuyu Asui is in denial about her feelings for Ochako. She supports her in everything. The Quirk Counseling Expansion Program, remembrance of Himiko, and even keeping her mouth shut about her dangerous habits. In a very PTSD-filled and lost time fueled state, Ochako asks someone to scratch her itch of Himiko. Of course, that's not perfect. And Tsuyu has her own reservations.
A very angst-filled fanfiction that explores the pain of Tsuyu, Ochako, and their shared trauma about their first year in High School. Read the warnings please!
