Sukuna leaned over the center console so he could be heard. “You know it’s not safe for little girls to be hitchhiking,” he said in that frighteningly deep voice, the kind of voice that carried authority, the kind of voice that belonged to someone who definitely could point you to the fleshless bones of your missing loved ones. “You’re begging to be raped.”
Yuuji scoffed under her breath and pulled the door open, hauling her ass into the seat, getting a lungful of lingering cigarette smoke. She didn’t care; the relief of the car’s air conditioning was immense. Her uncle simply watched her as she pulled the seatbelt over her body as if she was invited into the car. Then she turned to him and gave him her best eyes.
“You wouldn’t hurt me, would you, sir?” she said, pretending to feel like the vulnerable sixteen-year-old girl she indeed was. Though she never really could resonate with the feeling. She was wary, but never afraid.
Yuuji and her uncle had always had a peculiar way of bonding.
