Summary
Shane Hollander signed with the Montreal Metros in 2017, missing the NHL 2009 Draft, on the account of him not being a man in ways that mattered to people, let alone realising he was one back then.
Jane Hollander was the intimidating ice queen leader of Pay Our Girls, the campaign for an independent, fairly paid PWHL. The only problem was that ‘she’ was he, and he could not do it any longer. He promised himself to get the league up and running, and the he could live freely as a man. Yuna Hollander refused to let her son retire at 24, and she succeeded.
Shane hoped that the hard part was over with everything he’d done for the PWHL, for his girls, for girls everywhere. Now he could play as himself, hopefully, without anything insane happening, like the world finding out that he was the first transgender player in the NHL.
That wasn’t even to mention his- everything - with Ilya Rozanov, a pandora’s box Shane could not risk touching.Series

“This hot tub has not been well maintained,” Rozanov complained as they stood on the deck, staring at the built-in hot tub, big enough to fit 8 people.
“So, you can replace it,” Shane replied patiently.
“I will be too busy to replace the hot tub. Then I will have a long day, and I will decide to have a soak in my rancid hot tub, and then I will catch diphtheria and die.” Rozanov looked at Shane, accusatory. “You want me to die?”
Shane looked down. The hot tub looked no more or less rancid than any other hot tub. “I don’t think you can get diphtheria from a dirty hot tub.”
“You are doctor now?” Rozanov asked, and Shane stayed silent.
Shane Hollander is a realtor who works with the Ottawa Centaurs to find properties for new players.
Ilya Rozanov needs a home.
