Summary
The line of Hylia carries the gift of foresight: the ability to peer past the curtain of time and witness what is to come. Princess Zelda, the youngest scion of the holy bloodline, can see past and future alike, and speak with the wisdom of a thousand spirits. Princess Zelda weeps and bleeds and weeps, and whispers tales of strange futures no one can understand, of a strange man with golden eyes like the sun.
Princess Zelda is mad.
Healers from all around the world offer their help to the princess hidden away in her tower, though only Ganondorf Dragmire, sorcerer and once king of the Gerudo, can see through the princess' pain and show her the path to her freedom.
Ganondorf has his own reasons behind their arrangement, interests that don't align with those of the kingdom he vowed to serve and its designs for the princess he guards. He does not expect that Zelda will steal his resolve and his strength and his heart, and forever entwine his fate with her own. He is not a good man, but for the first time in his long life, he believes he can become one. For her.

Causality — a principle of physics; the idea that there is a cause for everything that happens.
When Zelda seals the rift that held Hyrule Castle in its grasp and frees her home and the people she held most dear from the yawning purple darkness, she finds a strange red-haired boy waiting for her on the other side. A boy without memory, a boy with nothing but a name. A boy who carries the weapon of the monster that stole her away and began the nightmare that has befallen her kingdom.
Ganondorf is has no friends, no home, no memory. All he has is his name, and the girl who saved his life — a girl with a smile like the sun and a heart big enough to hold the world in it. His past is a mystery, his future a question he doesn't know the answer to. He has seek his blood and kin, to find out what happened to him. Fortunately for him, Zelda decides to tag along.
After all, it is her duty.
