And Bruce now has to reflect whether or not his inability to reconcile with uncontrollable changes in his son is brought upon by strategic bitterness or fear (or both, if god would allow it)
Because ultimately, there is no version of their family's story where one is totally in the right or wrong. There is only love; ugly, misguided, but honest, true love between people who are doing the very best they could.

Eager for some sort of distraction, Lyonel rose from the bench and went to investigate. “How’s what supposed—oh, absolutely,” Lyonel said, when he saw.
Dunk was in the tuxedo Lyonel had had made specially for him. It was a deep black, short-pile velvet, brushed into a void-like darkness that drew the eye and kept it there. It framed Dunk’s broad shoulders in smooth, gorgeous angles, cutting in sharply at the waist to accentuate his incredible body. Though the bottom of the jacket hid his lovely ass from view, he could forgive it for a while. Let everyone else have imagination; I’m the only one with memory.
