Al-Haitham dreams of chasing mice across a grassy field. He dreams of hitting a shiny bell and listening to its melodic chimes. He dreams of watching birds from a high perch beside a tall window.
He dreams of Kaveh, human Kaveh, his golden hair catching the warm afternoon sunlight as he leafs through a book on their divan. Kaveh turns to Al-Haitham with an exasperated eye-roll, but it does a poor job of disguising his smile.
“Meow,” says human Kaveh.
Al-Haitham has an unexpectedly cat-astrophic vacation.

He’s wearing an Akademiya uniform and is as tall as the last time Alhaitham saw him (fifteen minutes ago) which means he’s an inch or two shorter than the last time Alhaitham saw him, because the uniform boots are heeled. He’s staring at Alhaitham with the aforementioned flush spreading like dye over the silk of his cheeks.
“Kaveh,” Alhaitham says. “Don’t freak out. I believe I’ve been displaced in time.”

Tendou was notoriously hard to read, but Reon kind of figured that he wasn’t the type to be anything less than painfully overt with romantic affections.
“I... I don’t think you have anything to worry about. I think if Tendou was attracted to you, he would let you know,” Reon said. “I'd guess he just considers you his best friend.” He hoped his answer would satisfy whatever frenzy the guy had worked himself into so Reon could finally take advantage of his last precious hours of sleep.
But instead, Ushijima visibly deflated in front of him. “Yes. That’s what I thought too,” he said miserably.
