Summary
Decades of torment in Angband has made Maedhros scarred and weary, and Sauron far more attached than he intended. No amount of torture can bring him the tenderness of a true lover. Fortunately, being a form-changing maia has its perks and, in the blurred reality of delirium, Maedhros is simply glad to see "Fingon."
Fingon/Maedhros's relationship (Russingon) is pivotal to the plot, but the real Fingon does not appear in this.
So far only one chapter is up. Past events are alluded to, but there is no blood or assault on screen currently. I will update content tags/warnings accordingly. I have not decided the full direction this fic will take. This is horror in tone, not soft or romantic.
This takes place in the same context as my ongoing fic "Unfavorable Encounters," where Sauron puts Maedhros through... a lot. You do not need to read to read the other, but their lore overlaps.
