    That finally did it.

    In which during the Boston vs. Montreal game, Marleau doesn't knock Shane out completely but still injures him. While a fight breaks out, Shane begs Ilya to help him, right there on the ice in front of the whole arena. Unfortunately, Ilya could never say no to him.

    Something inside him snapped, and before he even realized it, he switched to Japanese.

    "I don't know," he said, his voice tight. "Maybe because they're full of racists and homophobes. Do you even understand what I'm saying? Or have you become so white you forgot your own language?"

    Ilya’s eyes were open, but it was as if he were looking past him, up towards the sky above. He coughed once and blood sputtered out, dribbling down his face "Mama." He said softly.
