Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch is spiralling; pushing away his colleagues, snapping at residents, and making vague comments about not coming back from his upcoming sabbatical. When his concerning behaviour catches the attention of both Dr. Jack Abbot and first-year resident Dennis Whitaker, the two of them come together to keep him from slipping away.
As Robby reluctantly agrees to let Whitaker move in "just to keep an eye on him," the lines between mentorship, friendship, and something deeper begin to blur. But with Robby convinced he ruins everything he touches, Abbot and Whitaker have to try and convince him he's worth saving before the possibility of it being too late.
