Noel finished off the last dregs of his coffee, letting out a contented sigh. “You can come stay with me, then.”
“What?”
Noel laughed. “Whattya mean, ‘what?’”
“Well, it’s just that— we couldn’t possibly, Noel, I mean, you’ve done so much for us already, and really it just wouldn’t be right to—“
Noel pressed a finger to Arthur’s mouth, ears tingling at the way in which the other man quieted near instantly. “You worry a lot about being polite for someone whose admitted to killing at least seven people, you know that?”

"Did you ever do anything for Valentines?" Arthur asks, now slightly distracted by the realization that it was technically a holiday.
Parker sighs, rubbing a hand over his face, "Now where did that come from?"
"We're both bored out of our skulls here, don't tell me you want to watch the two off them canoodle all night," Arthur retorts. He would almost rather watch paint dry than see the two of them continue to eat each other's offered cake pieces.
"Nah, I've never been the type," Parker waves off. "I've been a bachelor for a good decade or so now Artie, you know this."
