    Wolfwood whistles. “Someone’s in a mood.” He reaches over to grab the translucent neck of a tsiraki bottle, vibrant azure liquid sloshing up the sides. “Did the ol’ glowrod forget to break your bones today?”

    His hand spasms backwards. The bottle crashes to the floor, releasing the distinct scent of fermented salakberries. Legato could have caught it in midair and kept his Force-hold on Wolfwood without blinking. But he prefers, when there is an audience, to make a mess.

    “Referring to Master Knives without proper deference,” Legato says, “is a transgression that I will not let slide in my presence.”

    “Kriff, you’re wound tighter than a spring.” Wolfwood grimaces, shaking his hand as if he can slough off the chill brought by the dark side of the Force. “Ain’tcha gettin’ laid when I’m not around?”
