Summary
“What? What’s wrong, Shane? Are you hurt?”
“I don’t…” The young boy looked around his room, his teeth chattering. He could still feel every ounce of cold in every one of his muscle fibers, but that should have been impossible. It was May. The sun was shining through his window, sending neat little slices of light to lay static on his bedroom floor. He could feel their warmth as he placed his hand in them. His pajamas were dry and his skin was radiating heat. He ran hot, always. With every passing second, the cold was fading, but he could still feel it. “I don’t know.”
Soulmates don't always mean happiness. Soulmates means sharing your pain with someone else. When he turns twelve, Shane Hollander begins feeling that shared pain and seeing the results linger on his body. He worries, but it isn't like he doesn't give it back. He's a hockey player after all. Over the years, both he and Ilya shoulder each other's pain through assault, abuse, and trauma. And perhaps they'll even get to meet each other one day and admit the secret that they've both been harboring, finally acknowledging the pain that they give to and take from one another.

Summary
Hermione Granger survives the war only to discover that the Ministry has decided her reward is a deeply horrifying Marriage Law.
Worse, Ron's betrayed her and if she does not choose a husband immediately, the Wizengamot will choose for her.
Fortunately, Viktor Krum has been waiting for her for years.
And remember when Hermione saved that dragon? Magical Eastern Europe takes that sort of thing very seriously.
Now Hermione is no longer just a war heroine, she’s favored by dragons, tied to old magic, and at the center of something much larger than the Ministry understands and once she's healed they will have regrets. Many regrets.
Enter magical Bulgaria: a thread-seer, ancient rituals, terrifyingly competent house elves, wyld magic, dragons, ridiculously attractive quidditch players, enchanted parties, political chaos, protective Krum family, and enough ritual magic (um sex magic) to make Britain collectively faint.
