Summary

Sirius knows with certainty what’s coming. Lyall's new obsession had been one and one alone, and had gone as far as making Hope’s mind to it– she seemed to have the time of her life indulging her silly husband as he pestered Sirius– and so it takes about five minutes before he breaks.
“So Sirius, my dear,” he starts, and his accent is as pronounced as ever, “Plans for your day off? I know you don’t want to spend it with little ol’ us for the third week in a row.”
They barely glance at him, instead teasing and rather musically replying, “Hope will kill you for calling her old, y’know.”
“That’s why you won’t say a word,” he says happily, “I just mean– you’re in the prime of your youth, don’t you want to go out and do something fun?”
She bites the bait. “Like what?”
“Well, Remus won’t have anything to do, as I hear, and he could take you out. Y’know I raised him quite well, all things considered. He’d be honoured to take you out.”
Sirius groans. Hears Hope laughing from the living room, most likely listening to the whole conversation whilst crocheting. Lyall’s smile remains unbothered.or– Lyall and Hope Lupin keep trying to set their caretaker with their son.
