The BSAA has recently implemented a new policy for small-scale outbreaks: instead of being terminated on sight, infected individuals are to be taken into custody to see if a cure can be devised to save them. Science and technology have come a long way, after all.
But when one of the first infected to be taken in at the BSAA North America Headquarters happens to be Leon S. Kennedy, however, that new policy doesn't end up being as straightforward as anyone anticipated. Especially for Chris Redfield.
Can be read as getting-together-romantic, 100% platonic, or whichever secret third option you desire! Because amatonormativity can suck a B.O.W. (Big Ol' Wiener). Rated Mature for heavy themes.

He stares helplessly as she stills, for only a split second, then rips the headset off and tosses it like she's been burnt. She falls to her knees. Francis crouches beside her.
It is April 16, 2007. He accepts very quickly that he will be unable to change the future. He tries anyway, and fails predictably.

He already knows exactly what would happen:
A failing score would drop his overall grade, which would make people start thinking of him as the stupidest person alive, and that meant that he’d never become a hero, and his parents would end up getting caught in a villain attack that he would’ve been able to prevent if he was there to save them.
Simple as that.
“Here, Bakugou,” Aizawa-sensei says, speaking in the same monotone as always. His expression is impossible to discern.
Katsuki snatches the test out of his teacher’s hand, trying his best to convey something like stop wasting my time, but it probably comes out more like: why are you giving me something that could ruin my life?
His teacher raises an eyebrow at him — a silent scolding — and then moves along.

(I plan to get into everyone's feelings about their bodies, but this is going to be mostly focus on Zooble's dysphoria, abstragedy's relationship because I love them, and on transfem Jax because I'm 1000% percent on the transfem Jax train. The later chapters especially are gonna be mainly transfem Jax. This is mostly a transfem Jax fic, the other stuff is just sprinkled in for flavor and variety and because I love them.)
[EDIT: this was mostly written before episode nine, so it uses my human designs rather than the canon ones. I don’t wanna go back through all the descriptions and retcon it.]
