He hasn’t spoken to Alec since he left this morning. It's certainly not the first time that’s happened, there’s plenty of times that one of them is too busy to take the other’s calls or messages throughout the day, but generally, at least one of them has a second to send out those messages. There in episode 7 Benedict Bridgerton is curious about Sir Granville and his lifestyle, where he is married to a woman but is in a secret relationship with a man.
Sir Granville's reply above is something that got stuck with me.
As you can guess, I started to ask myself how would Malec fit into this concept and how would they get their happy ending in the time when people like them were discriminated. And as I am a bit of history nerd, I wrote the story along with actual historical events in 1800's. The Bridgerton is setting only the time period and the life of the nobility in Great Britain. The Shadowhunters gave me the characters. All the other things are my own au story.And so we got Alec as a lord Lightwood and Magnus as a mens' tailor.
