Summary
Hohenheim comes back and Ed tries the transmutation on his own. Unable to forgive himself, Ed strikes out on his own and Hohenheim raises Al. Time shifts a bit differently and adopted by Maes Hughes, Edward Elric is going to define a new path for Amestris. Ed-Centric.
KEYnotes: Maes does not die. Nor key the others. Alfonse loses nothing, so Ed pays with both leg and arm. Homunculi are made by the Dwarf in the Flask, not failed transmutation.
Major AU: The timeline is different. The Dwarf in the Flask's plan is delayed. Alfonse and Hohenheim are in this, just toward the end of the second half of the story.

Summary
There was only one thing Ed needed to do: find a way to get Al's body back. He wasn't going to worry about cheerful soulmates, narcissistic colonels, or violent Xingese assassins, but life had a funny way of fucking with his plans. Ed was sure it was Ling's fault in every possible way. Plot-heavy Edling AU.

Summary
Roy Mustang goes out to investigate an explosion, and what he finds is himself. Specifically, his seventeen year old self, shaken and terrified and somehow jumped forwards in time by twelve whole years. How time-travel is even possible evades him, but he knows they need to find a way to send the younger version of Roy back to his own time.
Edward joins the efforts, lending his mind to the problem - but what Ed finds is a sweet kid so in touch with his emotions that he cries all the time and stands up for what's right even at great danger to himself. In other words, the complete opposite of the Bastard Colonel.
As they all work together to send Roy back to the past they inevitably become closer, what starts as friendship turns to more, and questions about who Colonel Mustang is finally let Ed see his CO in a new light.

Summary

Ed's lack of filter means his team knows he was a child solider and that there's even more to his story that he's hiding. Meanwhile, Ed and Roy long for the day they're able to return to Amestris.
