Summary

The House of the Dragon tore itself apart and the long night is soon upon them with nothing but a divided realm and three young dragons left to hold of the White Walkers. The Gods decided to send Rhaenyra back to the starting point of the war and allow her to bring some help back with her. Can she save her house and the Dragons or will she be doomed to fail again.

“Sometimes I wish we weren’t trapped here,” Laenor admits to her. A feeling she shares. This place is a viper pit and as the days go on the more it seems that she and her family won’t survive the ambitions of others.
Is the chance of becoming Queen of the seven kingdoms even worth all this pain and suffering. If it was just her then she would say yes. If it was just her and Laenor she would be ok with it as Laenor would be splitting his time between here and Driftmark so, he wouldn’t be as targeted. But can she risk her children’s lives as well. People support Aegon’s claim just as much as hers. Even if Aegon doesn’t want the throne people will still fight and kill in his name. Whose to say that when her father dies Cole won’t sneak into their rooms and slaughter them all in the middle of the night.
Even her supporters would seek to dispose of the usurper, and she refuses to allow anything to happen to Alicent’s children. Her brothers and sister are innocent. Her own children are innocent.
“We could leave,” Rhaenyra mutters quietly. Laenor head immediately snaps towards her.

As the group grows, and more people fall from the sky, Roan advises them that it would be safer for them to set up home somewhere else, not on territory already claimed and much further away from the dangers of Mt Weather.

Summary
Jaime’s never believed in magic, until dragons flew, and dead men rose, until a tiny slip of a girl plunged a Targaryen relic into the heart of an Ice King and saved the realm. Then magic became a little more believable.
It still seems impossible, as Jaime runs his fingers over the letters. He never learned the Old Tongue, it died out with the First Men, only those in the distant North still spoke it, and even then only the old families still held fast to that. Jon Snow spoke it, he’d learned in youth and took more from his time with the Free Folk, the Giants spoke it almost exclusively, although Jaime only briefly interacted with them. But somehow, here in this place, he understands it fully.
If at first you do not succeed, try again.

The Gods, old or new, send Jaime Lannister back to a time when the Targaryen Dynasty is not yet ruined, solidifying the future of the realm with a strong monarchy. However, the dragons alone will not save the Realm from the threat approaching from the North, leaving Jaime with much work to do, and few allies to rely on. As alliances change, and the outcome of marriages alters the future, Jaime has to rely on the Gods he long stopped believing in for Guidance. -

Daemon froze. For a heartbeat, he thought it must be a trick of the torchlight.
But the hair spilling down the girl’s back was silver.
Not pale gold. Not the washed-out blond of Lys.
Silver.
Bright as moonlight.
Slowly, the girl lifted her head. Her eyes were pale violet, the color of lilacs in spring, and filled with naked terror. She wore only a thin, translucent shift that clung to her narrow frame. In the wavering torchlight, Daemon could see the bruises plainly: dark finger-shaped marks along her arms, mottled purple shadows down her legs, and even beneath the thin cloth where it stretched across the fragile cage of her ribs.
Too small.
Seven hells, she could hardly be older than five summers.
Something ancient stirred in Daemon’s chest. A strange tightening beneath his ribs, sharp and certain all at once.
Like calls to like.
Blood to blood.
