Between the gruesome corpses and the quiet, unsettling doctor Cullen who shows up like a statue in pressed slacks, lying through his teeth, Charlie’s got more questions than answers—and no one seems too keen on giving him either.
Charlie’s trying not to notice how his breath catches when the doc gets too close. He’s also trying not to notice how the bodies keep piling up, unsolved. Neither effort is going particularly well.
And if one more person tells him it was a bear, he’s going to shoot something. Probably not a bear.

Simon’s perception of reality is nicely interwoven with religion in this one with FANTASTIC research for Grace’s POV in the earlier chapters. Really fun read with great character voice for Simon! -

Brilliant writing, soul aching pining, and amazing pacing. The interaction with the crew that there is, is so damn good!
A quality piece of writing that switches from romcom to psychological thriller and it’s so damn well done!
I cannot count the amount of times I giggled and kicked my feet in the air or gasped and covered my mouth at this fic, it’s extremely good at pulling emotions out of the reader and I felt a range of pure giddiness through despair that made my heart sink during my read through.
I cannot put into words how much fun it was to read this fic. Read it at your nearest convenience, you will not regret it in the least!
