Summary
After Regulus reaches past his 'expiry age' according to pureblood society, and with no marital prospects left except for the opportunists looking to take advantage of the Black family's predicament, he is allowed to marry James on the condition that Regulus will conceive an heir no matter what it costs and that James will move in to live with him into Grimmauld Place.
James follows him into the imperial Black family to protect him.

Summary
One night Sirius and Remus were caught kissing by Regulus. The next morning it was all over the school. James, unable to accept the betrayal of Sirius' own brother forcibly outing his best friend, seeks revenge by planning to do the same to Regulus.
Only it doesn't go as planned (read: James unbiddenly falls in love).
Only things aren't quite as they seem. In the end the one who bears the brunt of it all, undeservingly as it turns out, is Regulus.

Summary
After Sirius leaves home, the only way that Regulus will allow his brother anywhere near him is when Sirius is in dog-form. Regulus has no idea that the Grim-like creature he shares secrets and bacon sandwiches with is his brother. He has no idea, that is, until he tries to say goodbye to 'Snuffles' for the last time, and his canine friend finally reveals his human form.

Summary
Believing Regulus sold him out again, Sirius says some hurtful things and pushes his brother away. With the advent of Lucius Malfoy's visit to the Black family after years, this is a bad time for a rift between the brothers.
In hindsight Sirius wishes he'd seen all the signs of how Lucius has been hurting his brother.
In hindsight Sirius wishes he'd never ignored and pushed away Regulus. Maybe he would have seen it then.
