His black bag sat idly, leaned up against the wall. Inside, completely unbeknownst to the still sleeping Kageyama, was stored a small black box.
Tomorrow, on Flamengo Beach, Hinata would get down on one knee. He’d pull that black box out and would open it to reveal the ring that would bind them together. Forever. He’d rehearsed it in his head, over and over.
All that was left was the execution.

“There- There’s a hot guy in my hospital room and I can’t even spell your name,” Shouyou blabbered, his words slurred. “You probably think I’m stupid. You probably want to go home. I bet you have a girlfriend at home, because you can’t be single,” Shouyou pouted.
Tobio smiled a little mischievously.
“Why can’t I be single, Shou?” He asked impishly.
Shouyou wrinkles his nose. “‘Cause you’re the most beautiful-est man alive. Duh. You’re all… guwaah.”
“I’m not single,” he said.
Shouyou pouted. “I know. You don’t have to rub it in,” he slurred.
“I have a husband. He’s- Ah, he’s about your height, I’d say. He has hair like yours… He’s a bit smarter, though.” Tobio paused, thinking about something. “Only by a bit.” He chuckled to himself like it was an inside joke that only he knew.
OR
Hinata Shouyou gets his tonsils removed and doesn’t know who this beautiful stranger in his hospital room is.
