Summary
Agent Kallus was not a force for Good. Nor was the Empire. He - it - was a force for peace.
Alternate working titles:
Some Places Agent Kallus Never Thinks About, And A Few He Does
A History of Alexsandr Kallus in 1100 WordsThis could have been an old fashioned character meta exploring Kallus’ Imperial loyalty despite its antithetical orientation to his clear moral code and the process of transformative self-discovery, but instead I have written an old fashioned 100-word drabble series masquerading as a 5+ things fic.
Enjoy.
Plus ten more words to make the summary a drabble.

Just before he says goodbye to your brother, you pull Sully aside. It's bothering the crap out of you, and you've got to know, but hell, this is embarrassing.
Dean's kind of jealous. How come HE didn't get an imaginary friend??

Summary
As he stared down into the lumpy grey goop that was his evening rations, he contemplated whether it was really worth it.
They’d come a very long way just for Grace to give up and die at the last hurdle, both physically and emotionally. The Tau Ceti system was a long, long way away now, and Grace had faced not one but two highly emotional suicide missions. Three, if you counted the time before he was given a military grade roofie and hucked into space without his memories.
Rocky and Grace make it back to Erid! Huzzah!
Now they have to navigate all of... that.- Language:

Summary
Lots of people refer to themselves mononymously by their last names. It wasn’t weird for Grace to do the same.
Except he keeps doing it. Even in his own thoughts. Calling himself just Grace. He’s doing it right now. He drifts back into that first post-coma hour, crawling around the ship in search of any sense of purpose and sanity, nameless and directionless and terrified. Finding the control room and asking Mary for the rest of the crew.
Dr. Ryland Grace. End of manifest.
So he’s known, intellectually, what his first name is just as long as his last name. But for some reason, he just isn’t…using it. But why the heck not? Well, psychology was never his strong suit, but data gathering is data gathering. Time to do some very mushy science.
6 times Grace rediscovered understandings of themself + 1 time Rocky understood them completely.

“Why, question? You not like be man gender?”
I mean… I don’t mind being a guy. It’s like an old sweater. Sure, it’s not the snazziest thing I could wear, and sometimes it gets a bit itchy, but it’s dependable. I can go about my day with it on and not think about gender at all.
“I don’t know,” I say after a while. “Maybe.”

Summary
Well, I say "her hand," but maybe it's his hand. Or some other pronoun I don't have a word for. They might have seventeen biological sexes, for all I know. Or none. No one ever talks about the really hard parts of first contact with intelligent alien life: pronouns. I'm going to go with "she" for now, because it just seems rude to call a thinking being "it".
[what if you wake up in space and for the first time in your life you're free from the gender panopticon so you assign your new alien best friend the objectively best gendered pronouns. which are not your pronouns. and then your new alien best friend asks hey, what's up with that?]
