Summary
Luo Binghe's efforts to pinpoint and travel to the 'nice' Shen Qingqiu's soul don't go according to plan, which is a slightly nicer way of saying that they fail miserably and only end up spitting him out in front of some unimpressive, irritating flower spirit that he'd apparently married a decade ago and promptly forgotten about. Oops.
Even worse, Luo Binghe is struck by a curse that forces him to share a telepathic bond with this little spirit until they learn how to get along. Double oops.
...Actually, doesn't this 'Shen Yuan' seem a bit familiar...?

Summary
Before Luo Binghe has a chance to rebuff the vendor, she presents him with a slim bundle of long-stemmed lilies, garishly pink, and so fresh and glossy they could be shaped from porcelain.
He doesn’t reach out to take them, but he does consider her with a new curiosity. Maybe Shizun would like some flowers. Pink matches his cool tones best when it’s spreading down his neck or blooming in his lips, but perhaps something yellow would brighten the bamboo house.
He scans her goods, his eyes falling on a smaller basket at her hip, brimming with a more intriguing prize.

Summary

Summary
On the desk in between Yue Qingyuan and Shen Qingqiu was a printout of the email. Shen Qingqiu refused to look at it. If he tried very hard, he could pretend it wasn’t there. When the email had hit his inbox this morning, Shen Qingqiu had read it and reread enough to have it memorized, as he tried to comprehend the meaning of these words arranged in this order. The second that comprehension dawned upon him, he’d deleted the email then promptly tried to forget everything about it.
He wasn’t being very successful on that front.
The message, written with the extraordinary eloquence that Shen Qingqiu knew Luo Binghe was capable of, had been sent en masse to the entire faculty and student body. It stated two main points. Firstly, that Luo Binghe attested that Shen Qingqiu had never slept with, assaulted, molested, groomed, or was in any way inappropriate to him during his time at Cang Qiong Academy (thanks for the endorsement, Binghe!!). Secondly, that Luo Binghe was announcing this because he intended to marry Shen Qingqiu and did not want even the whisper of false impropriety to stain his Shizun’s name.

“Look, this is easier!” Shizun says, making a gesture with his fan that encompasses both Ning Yingying and Luo Binghe. “With you and I, Binghe, it’s... well...” He clears his throat again. “There’s a lot to say! But you and Yingying are just friends! Simply say that and the plant will release you and go dormant.”
We’re not friends, Ning Yingying thinks, at the same time as Luo Binghe says aloud, “We’re not friends.”
