He regrets the words the moment they come out of his mouth. But that other, older Spock said that he needed to get command of the ship, and to do so, must get his younger counterpart to acknowledge his emotions. Spock is not the first Vulcan Jim has had dealings with, and he can think of few things that would get T’pri as riled up as quickly as insinuating that she doesn’t love him.
He gambles that Spock is the same about his mother, and it pays off.
(Or, the one where Jim has a Vulcan daughter, and it leads to all sorts of emotions.)

Summary
Jim likes to pick up Spock after work at the Embassy. Sometimes, they drop by the store on their way home and get some wine for the evening. Jim is always so excited to finally see Spock after a long day of work, that he blabs the whole way home, while Spock silently listens, responding with occasional "hms" and "indeeds".
Spock will never admit it but walking home from work with Jim is his favourite part of the day.

Summary
After a life-saving mind meld with Spock, Captain Kirk begins to experience vivid dreams of ancient Vulcan, a time of warring clans and primal bonds.
In these dreams, a prince bearing Spock's likeness claims they are destined mates, leaving Kirk haunted by how real everything feels.
When Kirk shares this with Spock, he is told that Vulcans do not dream, deepening the mystery. Unbeknownst to Spock, Kirk is connecting with a remnant of his subconscious left behind from the meld.
As the dreams grow more intense, Kirk finds himself grappling with his own emotions, toward both his trusted first officer and the mysterious Vulcan prince in his dreams.
