Aka what if Alicent had one (1) good friend?
Maester Orwyle, having just completed his training at the Citadel at age four and twenty, comes to King's Landing early to train under Grand Maester Mellos. However, he didn't sign up to be friends with this pregnant teenager, and he definitely didn't sign up to help this lesbian disaster mend her relationship with her estranged crush/step-daughter. But after the Queen basically imprints on him for offering the bare minimum of kindness and courtesy, it looks like he doesn't have a choice.
Featuring shenanigans, Alicent being a loser, Orwyle reluctantly adopting her, and Rhaenyra trying and failing to stay mad at Alicent.
Our story begins on Orwyle's first day in the Red Keep, which just so happens to be Alicent's first prenatal appointment...
