“Aw, you know I can never say no to you, darling.” Jack says, and a chorus of hoots and hollers sound over the radiowaves.

Summary
You spend the entire day at your friend’s wedding looking polished, put together, and impossibly beautiful. Jack spends the entire day trying not to think about getting you out of your dress. But back at the hotel, when the dress finally comes off, so do all the less glamorous parts too: the shapewear, the strapless bra, the boob tape, the pins holding your hair in place. You’re a little worried Jack might see the reality underneath all that effort and find it less appealing. Jack, meanwhile, is mostly horrified that looking that good apparently required you to spend eight hours being squeezed, taped, pinned, and mildly tortured. And then he makes very sure you know exactly how he feels about what’s left underneath.

You’ve been dating Jack long enough that spending the night should probably be the next easy step. The problem is, sleeping over means letting him see the version of you without the makeup, styled hair, cute clothes, or carefully put-together exterior, and you’re terrified that once he does, he won’t look at you the same. Jack, meanwhile, has no interest in rushing you into intimacy you aren’t ready for. He just can’t shake the feeling that something else is keeping you from staying.

Unfortunately, Robby assigned the rooms, Shen packed enough snacks for a controlled disaster, and you ended up sharing a two-bed room with Jack Abbot. Technically, nothing is happening. Technically, Jack is just being helpful. Technically, two beds means this is not forced proximity. But then your romance book comes out, Robby discovers tropes, and Jack starts paying a little too much attention.
