Summary
Ted only signs up for bantr because he's never been able to say no to Keeley; he's got no intention of actually using the app. The last thing he expects is to strike up a friendship with a stranger who doesn't seem to mind that Ted isn't looking for romance. Before long he's getting way too attached, and he doesn't regret it at all.
Jamie signs up for bantr even though he's not sure what he's looking for; Sam made it sound like a good idea, anyways. He has no reason to keep messaging a stranger who's not even looking for a romantic connection. But Jamie finds the guy charming, despite all the bad puns, and it's not long before affection escalates into something a whole lot more distracting.

Summary
Zava’s arrival causes Jamie to spiral into becoming suicidal, however, he wants to write a good farewell letter, before he goes. Writing suicide notes becomes a way to cope as he debates going over the ledge.
Roy discovers the letters after he agrees to train Jamie, accidentally stumbling across just how badly Jamie is doing. He refuses to stand by and let Jamie wilt away and die in front of his eyes, taking it upon himself to personally hold suicide watch for Jamie.
Meanwhile, Sam observes the weird sudden joint at the hip behavior between Jamie and Roy, trying to figure out what is going on and what caused it, before being let into the fold when Jamie needs a roommate during an away game.

Summary
Early in Ted’s tenure as coach, Sam and Jamie end up as roommates during an away game. That night Sam discovers Jamie is suicidal after Jamie asks him to sit with him, feeling like he might kill himself if he’s left alone. Jamie thinks Sam will leave him be afterwards, but Sam can’t just let Jamie walk away knowing all this, it wouldn’t be right.
Sam’s attempt to look out for Jamie, even if Jamie thinks it’s not necessary, pushes him to become more confident and assertive, stepping up as a leader. Meanwhile, Jamie is pushed to be more open by Sam refusing to let him go on as if any of this is okay or normal. As their friendship develops, Jamie grapples with his childhood trauma, while Sam works through how he feels about becoming friends with someone who has bullied him in the past, as well as figuring out how to feel about the fact that Ted and Roy are imperfect people too, especially when it comes to how they approach Jamie.
