Summary
"Folk're gonna see right through all this," John huffs.
"Just be quiet," Javier assures him. "You don't gotta talk, just listen." He tugs the knot tight and John flinches, trying to ignore what the touch does to his insides.
"Then why am I doin' this in the first place?" John argues. Javier fixes him with a look.
"Sorry," Javier muses. "Not feeling too bad for a guy who gets to drink champagne all night."

Summary
If he hears another lecture about responsibility and being a man he's going to do something drastic. So when a chance comes along to get out, he moves. Javier's only just left the treeline by the time John catches up on his horse.
"Going somewhere?" Javier asks, quirking an eyebrow at him. John glimpses back towards camp, sees judging glares and crossed arms.
"Anywhere," John replies. "Just get me out of here for a bit." Javier follows John's gaze, understanding passing over his features.
"Sure, compadre," Javier offers, urging Boaz into a trot. "Keep up."

Summary
After days on the road, nights spent riding rather than sleeping, all Arthur needed was a good night's rest. He hadn't expected for his dreams to offer way more than that, however, to show him a side of himself he hadn't known before.
But how could he complain? Arthur knew himself best of all, after all.

Summary
“Well, you’re— you’re the nicest person here to me. We did good the last time we went fishin’, too.” Kieran admitted. “And I figured you— well, I figured you needed some rest. You’re always runnin’ around for the others an’ I ain’t ever— p- pardon me sayin’, but I ain’t ever seen you sit your ass down anywhere for long. An’ fishin’, it’s just...”
The words were falling quick and nervous out of Kieran’s mouth. “It’s just sittin’ on your ass. Relaxin’.”
Arthur tilted his head back a little bit. Despite himself, he cocked his brow and smirked with the corner of his lips.
“Spend a lot of time thinkin’ about my ass an’ what I do with it, O’Driscoll?”
(Arthur and Kieran let their minds wander on an unsuccessful fishing trip, and Arthur gets a sunburn.)

Summary
Kieran Duffy, former O’Driscoll boot boy, whistling across the Clemen’s Point pasture. Like he’s calling a dog, except it’s Arthur, hat tilted down, making his way careful through the muck. Walking towards Kieran, following him back past the tree line, into the woods.
After a few paces, Kieran turns around. He doesn’t need to; Arthur’s following, of course, but some part of him likes to watch him come at his call. He walks right into an oak tree, back against the bark, and decides that’s a fine enough place to stop. “Mr. Morgan.”
“Mr. Duffy.” Arthur answers.
(The prompt: Arthur might be into getting ordered around (and being a good boy and following orders right) and Kieran might be into it, too.)
