Summary
After the MLH awards, Yuna Hollander couldn't be more proud of her son. Overwhelmed at the attention, a familiar face at the bar catches her eye- and her concern. Yuna Hollander decides she needs to make sure that Ilya Rozanov is fine. Rooftop conversations ensue.
"David squeezed her arm tight, and she could see the tears brimming in his eyes, threatening to fall. It’s beautiful, she thinks, how David and Shane both think that people can’t tell they’re crying if the tears don’t fall. But those eyes, those eyes she fell in love with twice, first with her husband, then with her son, give everything away in the rivers of emotion they hold."

Summary
Shane should have expected it, is the thing. He should have seen this coming. He feels naive, stupid, for not even thinking about the possibility.
Werewolves mate for life.
He knew this. It was something his parents had told him when he was just a pup, bumbling around with paws too big for his body.
Werewolves mate for life.
------
Shane is a werewolf, and werewolves only have one mate throughout their entire lives. Ilya is a human and he has no idea about any of this. This fic follows the end of the Heated Rivalry TV show and beyond except Shane is a werewolf.
