“Watch,” he said. Then he ate a Starburst. With the wrapper on. Bob held up a hand, signaling ‘wait’. Then he pulled the candy wrapper out of his mouth, flat and without any creases. Bob happily showed off the candy wrapper as he chewed on candy.
What the fuck?
Natasha caught Halo’s eye. Halo had a hand covering her open mouth. Natasha tilted her head towards Bob’s direction, and Halo pointed at her. They nodded to each other in understanding. Halo slowly clapped in awe, while most of the men were left in confused silence.
Natasha could only stare at Bob’s sheepish face. Tonight, she was gonna get what she wanted.
